Built as a tough, all-purpose outer-layer hunting jacket for cool-to-cold conditions. The robust K-DWR treated Primeflex softshell resists wind and light rain or snow—yet offers more breathability than waterproof hard shells for better core temperature management.
While slightly heavier than hard-shell rain gear, soft shells are quieter, more durable, and remain comfortable in a wider range of conditions.
The Guide DCS features an athletic cut, allowing enough room underneath for base layer and a light mid-layer fleece, while a rain jacket in the same size will also fit over the top when needed.

Fit & Layering
This soft-shell jacket is designed to layer over a base layer and a light mid-layer fleece, all in the same size. This jacket is close fitting. Only upsize if you measure between sizes, prefer a loose fit, or to wear additional insulated layers under the jacket.
